SUMMERTIME CATCH UP!

We have been a tad bit behind on the posts. We are making the most of my jobless summer and the last with just one child.  Proof is in the pictures..... We are tired (and lucky!)

MAINE

In mid June Dad and Mary treated us to Bar Harbor, ME.  Beyond beautiful and yummy!

 

COLORADO

We went to see Josh in Colorado while he was there for a job. It was awesome!

 

 

OHIO!

The boys went fishing in Michigan and the ladies sat by the baby pool in Ohio. 3 mamas, 3 kids ages 3 and under and 3 babies in the bellies due 3 weeks apart. Oh, the power of 3.

To the other dads in our lives....

Phew, we lucked out with you guys! Thank you for being a constant  presence of love and support.  We have benefitted ( and continue to) in so many ways from your love and example and are so lucky that Charlie Mae now gets to.  Happy Father's Day.

A Special Note for Daddy

While daddy is off in Colorado working hard, we are missing him at home....

I asked CM what she likes to do with her daddy...

• I like to get ice cream with my daddy.
• And go to parties (?)
• I like to go to the playground with my daddy.
• Oh and make moothies (smoothies).

If I can add my 2 cents... He loves with such patience and kindness.  He somehow gets the best cuddles in the world from her.  They have such a special relationship.  I am not sure there is a better dad out there.  We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Josh, we love you and cant wait to celebrate you when you get back. We miss you.

• As she is throwing a tantrum. "Why is this happening to meeeee?!?!!

A Pretty Perfect Day

Last week we took CM to her first play. Angelina Ballerina, her favorite TV show, had a stage performance at a brooklyn community college.  She proved that 2 year olds have short attention spans, but loved it.

We got to meet Angelina after the show. She somehow knew just what to do and handed Angelina her ticket for an autograph.

The College was at the end of brroklyn and right on the water. We snuck around and found a perfect beach with no one on it. Lucky for us a leotard with the tights off becomes the perfect swimsuit. We had 10 mins of perfect time until we got kicked off, "not open for the season".

Speaking of characters Aunt Em and Elmo graduated from Nursing School! GO AUNT EM!!! And Grandma Molly came for a visit, which always results in lots of spoiling.

We are so thankful for all the wonderful mamas in our lives. They have all enriched us in so many ways.
We greatly miss the ones who are no longer with us.
