First day of school

CM started school this week! We signed her up for Brooklyn Creative Coop for the fall and they had an opening for now and said she could ease in. She started on Monday and will be going two days (9am-12pm) a week until the end of this year and then 5  half days in the fall! First day was smooth and second day she had the biggest smile when I picked her up! We are all very excited about it.

We are going to copy the idea of asking what our kids want to be when the they grow up on the first days of school...

April, 2013 Charlie Mae: "I wanna be an explorer!"

6 months old

She is 17. 3 lbs and 27.5 inches tall. Ruby is sitting for a few secs on her own. We are getting the same big smiles but also some great giggles. She gives some awesome opened mouth, wet kisses...mmm. Ruby is eating and self-feeding herself really well- favs are bananas and broccoli. AND is now in her crib in her sister's room. And she is (dare i say it?!) sleeping well. Yay Ru!

Hopefully, our last of the season. 6 inches of snow yesterday- Today 60. CM kept saying, "today is so lovely. So lovely." It was.

Meet the newest Little Lady Stokes

GOGGLE LILY STOKES

Yes, thats Goggle. No, not GOOGLE- GOGGLE. As in the singular of goggles- yes.... like what you swim in.   And yes we let our 3 year old name the cat.  

Goggle found us a few weeks ago and hasn't left our laps since. She's right around Ruby's age (6 mos) and is super sweet.  We weren't really planning for a kitty but if a sweet little homeless kitty comes to your door right before a blizzard you take it as fate.  

5 months!

We are a couple weeks late on this one... Ru Lou weighed in at her 5 month checkup 16.4 lbs and 27".
This month brought Ruby some real deal food, lots of talking and she does a mean raspberry! We love her ( and her sister) to pieces.

Dinosaur Watch

We never know what we are going to get when we check on CM before we head to bed. The last couple of weeks we have to push past herds of dinos to get in the room.

She says they"watch out- especially the big green scary one (T-rex)."

FLORIDA!

Dad and Mary treated the girls and I ( + Emily!) to fun in the sun.  We soaked up some much needed rays and were spoiled as always. Apparently, I only pulled out the camera one day and didnt get Mary or Em.  But i think you will thank me when get to the bottom pics (pun intended?!) that I didn't forget it for the beach! 

*Dear 13 year old Ruby, I pray you will not hate me for the nudy pics and see that there is nothing cuter than a chunky baby feeling the beach air on her tuckus. Love, mom.
