Cinderella

Today is a big day! Charlie is going to see Cinderella ON BROADWAY! with Grandma. First braodway show at age 3.5- not bad, kid.

This little lady turned three and a half last week. We remembered half way through the day. We had good friends in town and friends came over to bbq- CM of course thought it was for her party. She ordered us to get birthday candles. One was stuck in a cookie and the song was sung. She then said to the group "hold hands."
We all held hands as if praying and she said "alcadabra alla cazam"
She then went around the circle and had everyone do their own message. We got some creative ones.

It was a riot. She is a riot. Full of energy and enthusiasm and endless creativity. We love our big boo!

The pics below are of her "working out". The woman in the foreground we dont know but she was stretching and CM was inspired to do so too.

Ru at 7 months

She is still the sweetest. She rolls and rolls all over to get where she wants.
She also moves her little fingers to wave or does the whole arm wave. And the girl says "hi". Much like her sister did in that drawn out husky smoker voice BUT she does it always with a scrunchy face (see video) - and it just breaks hearts.

We suspect (and hope) that teeth are coming this month.

First day of school

CM started school this week! We signed her up for Brooklyn Creative Coop for the fall and they had an opening for now and said she could ease in. She started on Monday and will be going two days (9am-12pm) a week until the end of this year and then 5  half days in the fall! First day was smooth and second day she had the biggest smile when I picked her up! We are all very excited about it.

We are going to copy the idea of asking what our kids want to be when the they grow up on the first days of school...

April, 2013 Charlie Mae: "I wanna be an explorer!"

6 months old

She is 17. 3 lbs and 27.5 inches tall. Ruby is sitting for a few secs on her own. We are getting the same big smiles but also some great giggles. She gives some awesome opened mouth, wet kisses...mmm. Ruby is eating and self-feeding herself really well- favs are bananas and broccoli. AND is now in her crib in her sister's room. And she is (dare i say it?!) sleeping well. Yay Ru!

Hopefully, our last of the season. 6 inches of snow yesterday- Today 60. CM kept saying, "today is so lovely. So lovely." It was.

GOGGLE LILY STOKES

Yes, thats Goggle. No, not GOOGLE- GOGGLE. As in the singular of goggles- yes.... like what you swim in.   And yes we let our 3 year old name the cat.  

Goggle found us a few weeks ago and hasn't left our laps since. She's right around Ruby's age (6 mos) and is super sweet.  We weren't really planning for a kitty but if a sweet little homeless kitty comes to your door right before a blizzard you take it as fate.
